The reasons for anyone to join any car club are numerous and usually a unique blend of motivations for each individual. But generally it's a common interest in a particular kind of vehicle.

For us it's The FORD MUSTANG, of any year, make, and model.

Like Dr. Seuss? Go to Pony Dream Machines and see what your's might be. Like to write? Contibution's by anyone are more than welcome, encouraged! Just keep it clean.

To defend the breed!

The State of California can seize your car. Note:  If you have gotten this far in the site, you have an interest in cars and should be made aware of what is below, but may not know what to do about it.   Read on, joining TCMC can be a positive step towards a solution.

Today the Ford Mustang is outselling it's competition, and newer ones will be around for a while. Meanwhile lawmakers are being strongly pushed (successfully) by (in part, militant) environmentalists who are trying to crush [as in destroy - demolish - recycle] any vehicle without an exemption that doesn't meet the latest & greatest government standards for factory installed pollution equipment.  Guess what? Older Mustangs (and other cars) don't have any installed smog equipment.

If CARB and friends got everything they tried for (aim high, see what gets passed, then try again) in a few years most of us   would be riding pedal bicycles and/or taking public transportation.

In the United States you have heard the phrase "United we stand, divided we fall" since grade school. Together, sharing information among area car clubs along with other sources, we find out about what's going on within the legislature, both in Sacramento and in Washington.

By signing up with Tri-County Mustang you will find out about what we find out. And you can share what you learn or hear and get fresh information out there.

It will take ALL of us to stop the politics from taking away our cars and hobbies.    There really is safety in numbers.

Make?

What is it, if not a FORD

Mustangs come in all models and colors as you might expect from FORD.  But did you know they can get customized by re-manufacturing, at other than your friendly neighborhood body and fender shop.

At first there was just Carrol Shelby, and the Mustang Cobra. Now, you'll see them from Steve Saleen, Classic-Design Concepts, Steeda, and Rousch Racing (ala~NASCAR), all street legal, and anything but your Grandma's car. Not to mention a newer part of FORD called the Special Vehicle Team or FORD SVT*. Note: *compared to Ford's 100 years, 15 or so is "newer"

See what you have learned already, and this after only a few minutes!
