Note to all - Apologies in advance for some longer empty spaces on downward scrolls.  HTML and MS Front Page interface being worked on to improve design adaptability to browser differences.

Opera logo.gif (1259 bytes)Attention "Opera" browser users: sample]

Opera browsers do not correctly use the MS Front Page "hover"  buttons which "glow" when a computer mouse passes over them.  Inexplicably they trip up in two different ways.

1.] Those links designed to go elsewhere on the same page ~ will instead default to the TCMC home page, (top of this pageSolution ~ go back and scroll down instead

2.] Buttons that are supposed to take you to a particular spot on another page will go to the top of the new page only, and not to the desired section.  Solution ~ If you don't see what you're looking for, just scroll down further on the new page.

netscape-logo.gif (7617 bytes) Attention "Netscape" browser users:

Netscape users in general need more patience for a number of these pages to load.

At the Ventura Library the public internet computers can sometimes take longer than a dialup connection.  An assumption drawn from their network design is that networks which pass through a gateway at a remote location (even on a T-1 line) have been observed to stall for a while (snooze time) before finishing a page.

Apple%20Logo%20(640x480).JPG (16411 bytes) Attention Apple Macintosh users:

Macintosh users will simply see things differently than they were laid out and designed.

1.] Marquee text will not scroll and therefore might not fit in the window you are using.  These items are usually repeated elsewhere in a paragraph, where at least the idea is presented if not in the same banner headline like wording.

2.] The page layout is generally a little tweaked.  Some typefaces may be different.  Sizes of graphic images can be different
